Gloster Meteor F8 at the Temora Aviation Museum
Photos By Ian Kaiser and Matt Gannon
Rather than rabbit on about the Temora Museum, I´ll post the link and let their comprehensive website do the talking. I attended in 2007 with a few great friends during a weekday outside of the school holidays. We were shown exceptional hospitality and once the staff knew exactly how truly "nutty" we were about aircraft were given great access and technical information on the aircraft in each of the hangars we visited. Staff you encounter will range from those that have a good generic overview of the entire "museum experience" through to those that maintain/repair/fly in the actual aircraft. Time only precluded us from extending our stay but without doubt if you´re a true plane nut then you could almost stay the best part of an entire day...or more.
Ian Kaiser has posted to LSP a variety of exceptional photos of the museum. I´ve added a few more reference pictures which hopefully will be helpful to modellers of any scale. I do have these photos available on a data DVD for anyone interested. The photos are JPEG and between 4.5 and 5Mb each. Lots of detail can be found. Drop me a PM if you're keen on anything at much higher resolution. First off though are Ian's truly superb and detailed pictures. Many many thanks Ian.
