Rolls Royce Derwent & Nene Walkaround

Here are some pictures I have taken over the last year of the Rolls Royce Derwent 8 on display in the South Australian Aviation Museum. It’s not a big museum, but it’s well worth a visit if you happen to be in Adelaide. The last five photos in this collection are of a Rolls Royce Nene engine. These last five photos were taken in South Australia and also in Western Australia. The Derwent was a scaled down version of the Nene, and the similarities can be seen in the photos. The most obvious differences are the relative sizes of each engine and also the ancillaries at the front of the engines.
