Warbirds | Mosquito FB Mk VI Nose in 1/32nd Scale
Reviewed by Mark Proulx
Warbirds Productions has just released a 1/32nd scale Mosquito FB Mk VI resin nose. It is to be used in conjunction with Revell's 1/32nd scale Mosquito and Paragon's FB MK VI conversion.
The nose section is cast in a tan coloured resin. It is nicely detailed with accurately scribed surface detail. The lower four guns will need to have their barrels drilled out. The upper four guns in the centre of the nose are not included, but can be found in the Paragon set. No instructions are included for this part, which shouldn't be difficult for modellers with previous conversion experience. However, some notes giving measurements on where to start cutting would be helpful. I would suggest careful trimming of the Revell nose. Cautious sanding of the fuselage will then be in order as you test and fit the new nose into place.
Overall, this is a nice addition to the Paragon FB Mk VI conversion. I have always thought that the nose in the Paragon set didn't look quite right, and this solid resin nose may address that concern.
Review sample compliments of Warbirds Productions.
