Fotocut | WW II Era Instrument Bezels in 1/32nd Scale
Reviewed by Mark Proulx
The owner of Fotocut, Fred Hultberg, is increasing the 1/32nd scale photo etch line for the scale modeler. This is a review of Fotocut's WW II Era Instrument Bezels in 1/32nd scale.
The set includes 72 photo etch bezels with instructions. The packaging shows that this set is also available in other popular scales.
The instructions for this set are very vague. The only specifics mentioned are for detailing a few areas of the Messerschmitt instrument panel. No mention is made of which type of aircraft this would be applicable to. Furthermore, no details are included as to which instrument or nationality that each bezel applies too. Additional reference material would be invaluable when trying to determine which bezels to use.
The bezels are cleanly etched as can be seen from the attached scan. They are easily removed from the neoprene backing with the use of a sharp hobby knife. It would appear that a number of different styles of bezels are included. It is also important to note that this set includes the bezels only. Instrument faces will have to be made from scratch or found from other sources.
For those modelers wishing to detail their own instrument panels, this photo etch set could prove to be extremely helpful.
Review samples compliments of Fotocut.
