New Ground

Anyone who has built a 48th scale Spitfire or a 48th scale Starfighter will be well aware who Victory Models are and the quality of their products. Both of the sheets I mentioned are classics in the decal world, as they offered so many options and accompanying information that they instantly became legendary. And these decals for the Trumpeter A-7E Corsair II maintain that precedent and quality.

Offering 6 different aircraft on one 32nd scale decal sheet is a pretty impressive feat, and for the sum of $22.95 in the U.S. and £15.99 in the UK the price to me is good value for money. Particularly if you are a glutton for punishment and plan on doing more than one A-7.

Spanning a wide timeline covering the service life of the A-7, you really couldn't ask for a more colourful and interesting variety of choices in one place, "Build VA-25, VA-195, VA-146, or VA-147 from the Vietnam era or VA-46 and VA-72 from Desert Storm (USS John F. Kennedy/1991)." I will personally be using VA-25 of the USS Ranger in 1970 for my A-7E as the scheme to me is very striking and my personal favourite on the sheet.

My previous experiences with Victory models decals when I used them on a Spitfire I was making several years ago in 1:48th ( yes, yes I know, but I am not afraid to admit it!) was excellent and they rate among the best I have ever used. They work well with both Microscale decal solutions as well as Gunze Sangyo's.

Obviously I highly recommend this decal sheet and a look around Victory Models very cool website!
