Twobobs Aviation Graphics | 32057: EF-2000 in 1/32nd Scale
Reviewed by Mark Proulx
This is a review of the second of two new decal sheets for the EF-2000 in 1/32nd scale from Twobobs. The markings are suitable for the Revell and Trumpeter kits.
Four Italian schemes are included. Each is similarly painted with only slight variations in markings:
- Typhoon M.M. 7286 - IX Gruppo, 4 Stormo, Grosseto, Italy. October, 2008
- Typhoon M.M. 7273 -12 Gruppo, 36 Stormo, Giola del Colle, Italy. June 2008
- Typhoon M.M. 7278 - 20 Gruppo, 4 Stormo, Grosseto, Italy. July 2006.
- Typhoon M.M. 7272 - 12 Gruppo, 36 Stormo, Giola del Colle, Italy. June 2008.
Twobobs provides a great color instruction sheet with complete left, right, upper and lower views. This should ensure little guesswork for proper placement of the markings. Also included are eleven thumbnail photos for addition references. Colors are referenced to current paint lines and Federal Standard paint chips.
The decals are printed by Microscale. Where necessary multiple decals are used to achieve a superior marking and eliminate problems with registration. This is evident for some of the large tail markings. All stencils for one aircraft are included. A small decal insert of a flag is also provided which I have not scanned for this review. This marking is for the tail of M.M. 7278
Modelers should note that one of the schemes provided with this release would require modifications to incorporate the PIRATE IR Seeker modification. This is viewed in the side profile, thumbnail images and identified in the text.
As with other Twobobs decals, research appears to be first rate. I can recommend these decals to anyone wishing to finish their EF-2000 kits without the markings provided.
