Twobobs Aviation Graphics | AIM-120/AGM-88 Missile Markings in 1/32nd Scale 32-035
Reviewed by Mark Proulx
Twobobs Aviation Graphics has just released a set of 1/32nd scale decals for modelers wishing to accurately detail their AIM-120B/C and AGM-88C missiles. They are designed for use with weapons provided by Hasegawa, Academy and Tamiya.
The instructions include complete color profile views of both types of missiles. Each missile is portrayed with four views after the missile has been rotated ¼ of a turn. This format provides the modeler with a complete overview of the missile. This will greatly assist the modeler in determining the exact decal location.
Extensive notes are also included detailing the history, features and uses for the AGM –88 HARM and AIM-120B/C AMRAAM. The notes are supported with twenty thumbnail photos of the missiles as they are serviced on different aircraft. Color painting notes are also provided with FS numbers matched to paints from Testors, Gunze Sangyo, Xtracolor and Xtracrylics.
The decals are printed by Microscale. There are enough markings to finish four of each missile variants. The decals are nicely printed, though some trimming will be necessary to get the AGM-88 markings around the missile fins.
I am sure that modelers looking to complete there scale models as accurately as possible will find these decals to be extremely helpful. Correct missile marking will make your modern jet stand out I recommend them without hesitation.
