CAM Decals | P32-009: 1/32 McDD F/A-18C Hornet

Now, here's a cool scheme... Another edition in CAM's new Pro Series line of decals is something different for the Academy Bug.
This sheet provides markings for a single F/A-18C airframe, BuNo 163459, serving aboard the USS Enterprise during 2004. Stencils are not provided in the set, so the kit markings should be used for anything not included. The overall scheme is a very interesting mix of Dark Ghost Gray, FS 36320, Light Ghost Gray, FS 36375, Dark Gray, FS 36176, for this VFA-86 Bug. This scheme and markings can combine into a very attractive model on the contest tables or in the display case at home.
The decals are printed by Microscale, and their typical quality is evident. They are printed beautifully on a very thin carrier and the registration is excellent. The colors, black and gray, look spot on and the artwork is excellent.
The instruction sheet is two pages of profiles showing both sides and the top. However, as far as a painting guide, only the starboard and port profiles are given. The modeler must use references photos to assist in painting the upper and lower color patterns.
Although the recommended kit is listed as the Trumpeter 1/32 F/A-18, the sheet is designed to be used on the 1/32 Academy F/A-18C kit and is recommended.
