Introduction
Just released for the new Airfix 1/24th scale Hellcat is this PE upgrade for the IP and other cockpit panels as well as a set of stencils and instrument dials.

Included in the set is an approximately 6 cm x 10 cm single fret of 16 parts in stainless steel; an approximately 6 cm x 6 cm decal sheet, an approximately 5 cm x 7 cm clear piece of acetate, and a 13 cm x 18 cm card with full color instructions.
The quality is outstanding. The details on the stainless steel PE parts are super sharp, the fasteners appearing dome shaped and the raised shapes with very well defined edges - none of the undercutting often seen in brass PE sets. How did they do that?
Placing the instrument panel over the acetate and decal sheet gives an idea of what the final panel will look like. Very nice! The instrument decals and very sharp and you can read numbers in the dials.
Summary
An excellent upgrade for the Airfix kit. It will make the cockpit really stand out.
