Videoaviation | 164532: 1/32 A/M32A-60 Generator
Reviewed by Ray Peterson
A recent release by Videoaviation is this 1/32nd wheeled generator, known as the 'dash 60 start cart.' This will offer a nice option for those seeking to add interest to their modern aircraft builds or dioramas in 1/32 scale. The kit comes in a sturdy package and consists of 29 resin parts and a variety of sizes of wires as displayed in the photographs.
The primary parts are a chunky upper structure and suspension unit, well cast in a cream resin with nice detail with no visible bubbles. Some sanding will be required to make the attachment surfaces nice and flat for gluing, but there is really little in the way of pour blocks so it should be a quick task.
The wheels and tires are cast separately. Also separate is a tow bar and several detail parts, all neatly cast.
The various wires and a woven cord are provided in a ziploc along with a small sheet of decals, providing markings for a yellow and a grey machine of the USAF. One note: it would be a good idea to separate the decals from the wire when you purchase the kit as at least in my case a couple wires stuck to the decal film.
Instructions consist of one page of assembly diagrams, a page showing layout of markings, and a third page with painting details. The finished piece looks convincing compared to photographs of the real thing. One source is this website, with one for sale.
An atmospheric piece to place on a base next to your modern jet!
Highly recommended!
