MDC | E32006: 1/32 French WW II Aviorex 32 Harness
Reviewed by Mark Proulx
Model Design Construction, or MDC, has just released a photo etch harness set for French aircraft.
MDC provides a photo etch fret and instructions. Two choices of harness construction techniques are considered. The modeler can opt to make the complete harness out of photo etch, or construct it using foil straps for the harness fitted to separate photo etch buckles.
The simple instructions are completely illustrated depicting both harness options. Painting details are included. Text provides some subtle differences about the harnesses when fitted to non French aircraft, such as the Curtiss H75.
The parts are etched in brass. Subtle surface details are clearly evident on the harnesses. The fret also includes strap templates to ensure that the correct width of the foil harness is cut. A resin quick release buckle is also included.
This harness set will be a welcome addition to modelers constructing some of the new 1/32nd scale French aircraft. This set will greatly enhance the cockpit details so evident in larger scale aircraft and I recommend it without hesitation.
