Information About HD
Henri is an ambitious modeler, he started to correct props because he was unhappy with the OEM from HAS & REV. He is a “one man show” doing this in his free time.
The corrections are done by using original drawings and taking measurement (preferred) from original parts. By doing this, he measured that the diameter of G-6 prop is 3.04m (documented is 3.00 meter). To be in line with the expert knowledge he used the 3 m.
The Parts
The parts arrived good protected in a carton box. The parts are packet in plastic packs including an A5 booklet instruction of 10 pages.
Contents:
- 14 Resin parts
- 1 brass shaft
- 1 mounting device
- booklet instruction
As can be seen on the picture the parts are cast in gray resin. The cast work is very good and minor grinding is needed to build the set. The detail booklet instruction explains very in detail how and what to do, even a paint instruction is included. If you open the booklet the first 3 pages explain and proof that the parts are used for measurement are really matching with a propeller version used at this time. Latest at this moment you recognize that the main aim is to do a scale clone upgrade detail set. The ambition is accuracy and originality as much as possible. The drive to do the correction where the blades, the rest (hub & spinner) follow because inaccuracy was detected.
Accuracy can be seen on the hub with 3 gear-wheels and the machine gun exhaust nozzle (armored conduit) on the spinner tip. In my opinion this is the only set doing it right. Another positive aspect is that with this configuration (brass shaft, hub, armored conduit and the hole in the spinner) the concentricity is very accurate.
The picture below shows the brass master parts, they are hand tooled (not CNC machined). According Henri with this method he achieves the best result for the resin parts dimension and on the other hand a constancy quality on the resin parts is guaranteed as soon the liquid rubber need to be replaced (negative form).
Picture below indicate how the measurement of the spinner was done.
I can’t judge to 100% the accuracy of the propeller and spinner, to do that I need original drawings and therefore I will not compare it with competitor products, but knowing that original parts are used for measurement and by just looking at them I’m very satisfy with them.

If these parts are a limited edition can’t be answered at this time. According Henri, as long there is a need he will produce them.
If the product is not available over eBay you can mail to Henri to order or ask for availability and price, but please be patient if he do not replay immediately as I said his English is very basic and maybe he need help from family or he is busy (work or holiday).

Summary
If you attach great importance on the propeller, this set is a must have. If not, the original propeller from Revell are not that bad too. The price is 16 Euro for 14 resin parts, from feedback this was a controversial point. Comparing it with the Revell Bf 109 kit price then it’s high. Comparing it with the Hasegawa & Trumpeter kit price then it seems to be okay. In general after marks can double or triple the price of the model, depends how desperate you are.
Many thanks to Henri for providing me with pictures and information.
