Special Hobby 1/32nd Brewster M339-23 Buffalo of the Royal Australian Air Force

By Michael Woodgate

This time I want to present my Special Hobby 1/32nd Brewster M339-23 Buffalo of the Royal Australian Air Force.

This aircraft was one of 17 ex-Dutch aircraft loaned to the RAAF by the US Army 5th Air force. The obsolete Buffalo was pressed into service as there was no other suitable aircraft available at this time.

The Buffaloes were used to equip 25 Squadron as the only fighter squadron tasked defend Perth, Western Australia in 1942. The Buffaloes were later replaced by more modern aircraft.

The model was built out of the box and for a limited run kit when together very easily with no problems, an enjoyable build.
