Fisher Models 1/32 Sea Fury
By LSP Ron
The Hawker Sea Fury is one of my favorite aircraft. I had never built a resin kit before but I really wanted to build a 1/32 Sea Fury in RCN livery. I finally bit the bullet and ordered one from Fisher Models. It is a tad bit expensive, but let me tell you, it does not disappoint!
The kit arrived in a rigid plain white box with only a small Fisher Models and Patterns label on each end that described what was inside. Upon opening the box, you'll find the fuse and wings carefully wrapped in white tissue and all the small resin and metal parts bagged in small baggies. The instructions are a multi-page photo copied document filled with detailed assembly photos.
I washed all the parts in warm soapy water and gave them a good rinse. After letting them dry overnight I was eager to start into the kit. The rest is history, aside from having to use CA glue or epoxy, the kit builds much like a regular plastic kit with exceptional detail. The instructions do not leave any guessing as to what needs to be done to arrive at a successful finished build.
If you are new to resin or even an old hand at working with it, you will be very pleased with this kit.
