Hasegawa 1/32 Avia S-92
By Kevin Futter
I had originally intended to build this kit as a Luftwaffe bird using an ancient SuperScale decal sheet (32-33) that also happened to feature some post-war Czech markings. The featured Luftwaffe subjects turned out to be fictitious - or at the very least completely unverifiable. So at the last minute I changed tack and decided to finish it using the Czech markings instead. I'm glad I did!
This model required a lot of work, so I was grateful for the donation of some parts from a Trumpeter Me 262 by a fellow LSP member. I used their cockpit and undercarriage parts (including the rubber tyres - yuck!). I scratch-built lots of stuff for the wheel bays, and the model was completely rescribed.
All in all, a very enjoyable project!
For the gory details of how this model went together, you can Czech out the build thread on the forums.
