Combat Models 1/32 B-24D

This is the Combat Models B-24J kit, the following is what is scratchbuilt on this kit. Jerry Rutman's detail set was used on this project.

1. Detailed ball turret.

2. Detailed top turret.

3. Detailed tail turret.

4. All three struts.

5. Wheels & tires are J. Rutmans casting from the detail set.

6. .50 cals are from the F-86 by Hasegawa.

7. Decals are scrap decals I have.

8. Waist gun .50s are from the H-60 Blackhawk kit.

9. Nordon bombsite is from the P-38 Droop Snoot kit.

10. Detailed cockpit.

11. Added exhaust pipes to vac superchargers.

12. Added armor plate below pilot & co-pilot windows.

13. Props are from the J. Rutman detail set.

14. Complete bomb load, bomb racks are scratchbuilt from Evergreen strips.

15. Antenna from the Revell P-47D kit.

16. Reset panel lines using black fine point marker.

17. Two coats flat to seal decals & panel lines.

18. Bomb bay doors are made of sheet plastic & square rod.
