Airscale 1/32nd Boulton Paul Defiant

By Bruce David

Here is my completed Defiant.

The model was remarkably easy to build once some tedious tasks like sanding down the more prominent layer lines had occurred. Probably the most time-consuming part of this was reinstating all the rivets.

The only modification I made was cutting the gun trunnions off the gun mounting and reglueing them to allow the guns to be elevated. A lot of the parked Defiant pics I looked at had the guns elevated. The barrels were also replaced with brass Master Detail barrels. The push-in footstep was also added to the fuselage side.

The AIMS decal sheet was used for the kill markings, and unique unit badges. The serials, national markings and codes were cut on my silhouette machine after scanning the AIMS sheet. I also want to thank Peter from Airscale if he sees this for answering my mayday about needing some replacement parts I managed to mangle.

Thanks for looking!
