Trumpeter 1/32nd Ju87A Stuka
By Jindřich Kulhavý
Here is my finished Junkers Ju-87A model, along with a Luftwaffe bomb loader 1:32 from Black Dog.
I made again a machine that was in Cheb (airport Eger) in the past during war. The period 1938 to 1939 is not easy in terms of camouflage of the machine but I was lucky and I found enough photos in publications, the internet and in a friend's archive.
Sturzkampfgeschwader 165 was a unit of the Luftwaffe of the Wehrmacht before the Second World War. It was equipped with Henschel Hs 123 A and Junkers Ju 87A dive bombers and trained crews for air raids. It was incorporated into Dive Bomber Wing 77 on May 1, 1939. The planes arrived at the airport in Cheb ( Eger) for a few days in 1938-1939, the exact date has not been preserved, we only find photos from this "visit".
I wasn't happy with the bomb loader, I had to redesign it to look like the pictures.
I mixed the pre-war Luftwaffe colors myself because the range of these colors were very different, for example the interior spaces were light gray. I used Model Master paints and did not show any wear on the aircraft because I did not find any wear in the photos and the aircraft were new during the "visit" in Cheb and had only a few hours of flight time. I made the decals myself.
