Toronto Hobby Show, 2001
By Wayne Bowman
I've attached pics of the only two large scale aircraft on display on the IPMS table at the Toronto Hobby show for 2001. The F-4D Phantom is mine and the Spitfire (I think its a Mk IX) belongs to Derek Pennington. Its a conversion of the Hasegawa Mk V using the Paragon conversion set. Derek did an article on the build for this model which was featured in Scale Aviation Modeller International magazine a few months ago. Unfortunately there wasn't anything more to photograph.
I've also included one more picture of what I call "Rhino Row". We had a table full of Phantoms. I think its good inspiration for the large scale guys, showing what an impact the size of a 1/32 aircraft can make when compared to the teeny tiny scale stuff around it.
