Kotare 1/32nd Bf109K-4

By Justin Stolte

Here is my Kōtare Bf 109K-4, built to represent "Red 1" from 10./JG 27 (pilot unknown).

This is a great kit. It's very well engineered, easy to build, and has excellent detail out of the box. My only complaint is that it doesn't have rivets, but I know not everybody wants that from a kit. I added rivets myself using my Petr Dousek "Rosie the Riveter" tool.

The spinner, the props, and the wheels are from Barracuda Studios. These weren't really necessary because the kit parts are very well done, but I already had them, so I figured I may as well put them to use. I also added HGW seat belts and Kōtare's own 3D-printed resin exhausts.

Other than a few stencils from the kit decals, all of the markings were painted using homemade masks.

You can see my work in my build thread in the Work in Progress forum.

Any critiques are most welcome!
