Zoukei-Mura 1/32 Messerschmitt Bf 109G-14
By Phil Smith
I started this 1/32 Zoukei-Mura kit of a Bf-109G series about a year ago. Given my work schedule, vacations, and other things, it took me a long time to finish this kit. On the other hand, I did't feel rushed and there was just enough momentum that I didn't get bored.
This kit was a pleasure to build. Most every part went together very well and those that did not were due to user error because I sometimes abandon plans midway through the subject; for example, this was going to be a Swiss Bf-109G-6, I think, but decided to change this to one of Erich Hartmann's rides. I know this is a tired subject, but I'm impressed with the pilot's accomplishments and I was intrigued by the application and subsequent wearing of the winter camouflage.
The kit was augmented with HGW seatbelts, stencils from 1ManArmy (very few decals were used in this build), and various gauges of wire.
