Brazilian IPMS National Convention 2007 São Paulo, Brazil Part 2

By Rogerio "Rato" Marczak

This Hasegawa Fw 190D-9 won a Silver. I didn't liked the chipped paint effect - way too shiny (even worse seen alive). One could argue that the judges have followed strictly the IPMS rules, but as I always say, paint chipping is painting, and painting is an important aspect of the rules.

Here are some choppers. This is the small Revell H-13 in 1/35 - nice little model:

And here are two shots of the recent Trumpeter Chinook in 1/35. Boys, I'll tell you, these beasts are big...

Another big brother from Trumpeter is the F-105 below, in all its 1/32 glory:

Among the jets, two F-18 from Academy in 1/32 attracted my attention. Here's the first one (note the Tamiya tape used as a cap at the end of the Sidewinders):

And here's the second one - same manufacturer, same scale:

These two Hasegawa F-5s are in BAF livery:

Miscellaneous stuffs

Before the awards cerimony, some pilots from BAF have talked to the crowd, and elected the best models in BAF colors. Nice touch from the organizing comitee:

And here are some of the winners, in case you're wondering:

I couldn't resist to include this massive diorama of a BR-52 locomotive in 1/35:

Before we finish off, here is the picture everybody was waiting for - the LSP gathering at São Paulo. From left to right (and the forum names): Daniel Castro (aka MaxHalder), Sandro Moretti (aka Smotti), Carlos 'Guto' Palma and your editor (in a miserable state) at the end of the last day. We were tired, but happy as kids...

See you next year…
