Brazilian IPMS National Convention 2005 São Paulo, Brazil Part 2
By Rogerio "Rato" Marczak
Another F-15 in 1/32 scale.
Tamiya's F-15 from behind.
As you can see, Tamiya's F-15 is still selling
well around here.
Another judges' model, a Tamiya F-4 in Israeli
livery. For sale (about 600 USD). What a place to sell it, uh?
But the model is worth the money...
... as you can see.
This is Trumpeters MiG-17.
Another Tamiya F-4.
The old Hasegawa F-5 is always present in our
Nats. Here's one in a Braz. Air Force commemorative finish.
F-16 by Hasegawa.
Choppers - 1/35 Scale
This Trumpeter Mil-Mi 8 in Polish markings
ranked first in its category, as well as the best Trumpeter model trophy.
José Ricardo (the author) indeed achieved
a nice result.
I guess this is the old Revell Huey in 1/35.
Larger Scales
The Airfix Bf-109E in 1/24.
This is the Trumpeter Me-109G in 1/24.
... and another Bf 109G in 1/24.
Curiously, there was a number of Twenty First
Century aircraft in 1/15...
...this 1/15 P-47 is finished in BAF 1st FG
markings, along with a Jeep in both scales: Verlinden's 1/15 and the 1/1.
Conclusions
I had opportunity to talk many modelers, editors and cottage industry managers. Every year I find LSP website is becoming more popular.
It was wonderful event. Congratulations to the IPMS/São Paulo staff for a great job. I left São Paulo with good impressions of the show, as well as the level of craftsmanship shown there. I just hope next year the number of entries will be much larger...
Props.
Jets.
Phantom line-up.
LSP gathering at São Paulo (from left
to right): 'Big Sandro Moretti (can´t understand why the nickname),
Carlos 'Guto' Palma, your editor, and Daniel Castro at the end of the last
day. We´re tired, but happy as kids... Time to pack our models.
