Revell 1/32 Hawker Typhoon Car Door + Special Hobby Tempest
By Wouter Groenen

I finally finished my Typhoon frankenbuild. For those who didn't follow my thread in the Work in Progress forum, it's the old Revell kit mixed up with components of the Special Hobby Tempest.
Although not my best result, it was certainly a fun project. Last week I finally found time to take some pictures only to realize I mixed the left and right the inner wheel doors. Quick fix, but still a bit annoying.

In the future I will build a little groundwork depicting the aircraft on a dusty Normandy airstrip. For now, I reused a base from another build and a grey blanket as background. Not the best, but I didn't have anything else available.

Kits: Revell Typhoon car door (fuselage, wings) and Special Hobby Tempest (cockpit, canopy, nose section, prop and stabilizer)
Aftermarket: MDC wheels, guns and rockets
Paint: Mr. Paint
Special thanks to Max (Mozart) for providing the custom paint masks!
