Hasegawa 1/32 Kawanishi N1k2-J Shiden-Kai George
By Jean-Marc Viaud

These last few months have been dedicated to the construction of this Japanese aircraft, not the best known, nor the most beautiful but surely the most efficient!
This is an aircraft piloted by Shoichi Sugita of the 343 kōkūtai in April 1945.

The Hasegawa kit is very well made but lacks details and requires a lot of improvements. To do this I was helped by Eduard's instrument panel and turned metal guns.

I also added complete riveting and stressed metal or “oil canning” effects onto the exterior. The shell ejection chutes under the wings were opened up.

The national insignia was painted via masks.

Enjoy!
