Revell/Monogram 1/32 Grumman F3F-3

Here are a few pictures of the old Monogram Grumman F3F-3, which I found in a Revell re-boxing.

It is some job to elevate the model to more current modelling standards. A particularly helpful project is removing the raised panel lines and engraving them while keeping the raised rivet heads. The model also required a good quantity of filling at many locations and thinning all parts that needed such a treatment.

I was able to use the decals in the box – even if very fragile, I had no major issue when applying them.
