Revell 1/32 BAe Hawk T.1A
By John Summerford
This is the 2010 release and molded in red instead of gray. For the cockpit parts, I sprayed them first with primer and then painted them as per usual. The build is “Out of the Box” except I didn’t use the det-cord decal for the canopy. I opted to scratch it into the plastic. I took advantage of the red plastic by painting the red color first and then masking those areas. The remainder of the airframe was sprayed white for the stripes and as a primer for the blue. The white areas were masked and then the blue applied. Decals were scrounged from a variety of sources and the year was the best of hand painted attempts on clear film and applied. When I showed it to my model club, one member said he felt that he should salute!
