Wingnut Wings 1/32 Felixstowe F.2A, 228 Sqn RNAS, 1918

One of the things I really tried to concentrate on was to somehow simulate the ravages of salt weather open ocean operation that beats up and takes it's toll on even the stoutest of timbers, never mind a wood and cloth flying machine. Salt water weathering, chipping and staining of doped surfaces, and general salt staining were used abundantly along with much repair patching and paint spotting and overspray to try to show a constant battle to keep her not only airworthy, but seaworthy as well.
I fell I've achieved that with varying degrees of success.
