Tamiya 1/32 F-4J Phantom
By Paul Ward
This is my first entry on LSP and probably my favourite aircraft (I grew up on RAF bases during the 1970s and was lucky enough to see FGR2s on an almost daily basis whilst in Germany – roll on the 1:32 Hong Kong Models RAF Rhinos!).
This was my first 1:32 Tamiya kit and, apart from some slightly crusty decals, I didn’t have any real problems putting it together. Paints were a combination of Tamiya, Mr. Hobby and Vallejo metallics plus Mig panel line washes. I used Tamiya semi-gloss to finish off.
Extras used include the Eduard wheels, seats, interior and exhaust. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get hold of the intake upgrade and should probably have used the FODs to cover up.
