Tamiya 1/32 Spitifire Mk IX

By John Bardwell

You just can't go wrong with a Tamiya 1/32 kit whether it's a Spitfire, Mustang, Corsair, etc. Great fit and clear instructions. Crappy decals though (on the earlier kits). My build represents a 81 squadron a/c flown my Colin Gray in N. Africa. Paints used were Xtracolor, MM and White Ensign (Colorcoats). After market was limited to resin wheels. Decals are a mix of kit decals (thick/brittle), Victory Model Decals and Kagero Top Colors Decals from their book. I had near zero problems with fit and really enjoyed the build.
