Academy 1/32 SUFA, 1 Squadron IAF
By Brent Simpson
This was a long build for me, I got the kit 3 years ago at a bargain basement price from Erig Galliers, who cajoled and inspired me to keep at it.
She sat on the shelf of doom for quite a while before I pulled my finger out and got her done.
I like the Academy kit, despite some shape issued (which I have no clue about as I know zero about F-16s) the kit fits well.
I used the following AM:
- Wolfpack cockpit
- Aires wheel bays and wheels
- I mated the inside of the Aires F-15 slam engine with the Academy petals as no AM engine existed at the time
- Master static wicks
- Tamiya laser guided bombs
References were from the excellent Isracast SUFA book. She was painted in Gunze, free-hand camo and the decals came from the kit and Isradecal.
Again thanks to Eric for pushing me to get her done and for taking the photo's that I now present for your enjoyment!
