Revell 1/28 scale Fokker DR 1
By Garry Pritchett
I've always wanted to build the Revell 1/28 scale Fokker DR 1 because I've always considered it to be a really cool aircraft. Mainly though because it has minimal rigging and I don't do well with rigging WWI aircraft. I did some minor scratch building in the interior of the fuselage. You can't see much of the interior when the fuselage is closed up. The kit machine guns were modified with photo-etch parts from Tom's Model Works. The photo-etch really enhances the appearance of the machine guns. The kit figures leave much to be desired but I did the best I could with them. I used oil paints and MM enamels to paint the figures and model. The rigging is monofilament fishing line painted black.
