HK Models 1/32 B-25J Mitchell Strafer
By Tom Crayne
First I want to say this is a huge kit. By far the biggest kit I've build to this day. The detail on this kit is sharp and clean. I used Eduard cockpit detail set and bomb bay set, HK Models metal landing gears, AMS propeller correction set, and Zotz decals. The kit was build straight forward with careful aligning of the parts resulted in very lite use of putty. The AMS propellers were great help in getting the look of the engine correct. Tamiya paints were used through out the build. Olive drab was a custom mix with a touch of khaki, field OD, and gray. For kit this size metal landings are a must with the amount nose weight it requires. Over all it was a great build and I highly recommend it to anyone into large models. Just for size comparison I displayed it next to 1/48 B-25J and it's amazing how tiny the other Mitchell looks.
