Tamiya 1/32 F-16CJ Block 50
By Dennis Ferriol
This is the 1/32 F-16CJ Block 50 Fighting Falcon kit released by Tamiya.
I´ve decided to go the extra mile with this kit by adding PE details from an Eduard Big-Ed set, as well as CMK´s resin undercarriage and armament sets. Decals were also from Two Bobs.
Construction went on without any problems which is typical for most Tamiya offerings. I only had to ensure that the intake was seamless and aligned perfectly with the resin intake forming part of the undercarriage set by CMK. I used up almost all the PE parts in the Big-Ed set and added brake lines made from copper wire. Painting was done using Gunze and Tamiya colors while weathering was achieved using oil washes, MIG powders and silver pencil paint chipping on high wear & tear areas.
It was a long build, mainly because of the replacement/additional resin and PE parts. Nonetheless, it was all worth it. I hope you enjoy the pictures.
