Tamiya 1/32 Spanish F-16CJ Fighting Falcon
By Francisco Lara
This is a hypothetical Spanish F-16CJ Fighting Falcon, for the Ejército del Aire, into the Ala 15 in Zaragoza, Spain. This could have been the main fighter plane, but had chosen the F/A18 Hornet.
The kit is the Tamiya 1/32 scale F-16CJ, whit the following resin items added:
- Black Box, cockpit for Tamiya kit
- Aires, Wheel bay for Tamiya kit
- Legend Productions, woman pilot figure
- Master Details, woman ground crew figure
- Eduard Fhotoeched, formation lights for F-15
- The AN/AAQ-14 pod comes from the F-15E Tamiya kit
And some things to scratch…cockpit, pylons, wedges of the wheels, and the cart to transport the AN/ALQ-184 pod.
I painted this aircraft with Testor's Model Master paints mixed (sand, brown and green) and acrylics Citadel for the interiors, details and figures.
All weathering was done with Citadel acrylic paints, oils, chalks, pastels and pencils. I used the new decals from Series Españolas (Spain). Thanks to my family and friends for their patience.
