Bristol Beaufighter IF
No. 604 Sq. 1940
Here is a hint for a all black aircraft: overall color was 80% Prussian blue 20% black, Then all panel line and washes done in all black tend to stand out. All markings were painted. (No Decals)
The old Revell kit: spent about two years on this as all panel lines had to be removed and rescribed.
All cockpit detail was scratchbuilt, as was the landing gear, Gear consists of aluminum tube and plastic rod, about 60 pieces per gear.
Surgical tube used for all guns and cannons. All control surfaces cut out with the flaps lowered. I utilized the kit engines but really added alot of detail. Testors model master paints used.
Weathering done with pastel chalk.
