Combat's 1/32 P6-E and XF6C-6

By James Merrigan

Here is my Combats Curtiss P6-E and the Page Racer I built from it.The P6-E was a pretty straight forward build with injection molded details such as prop, exhaust stacks, landing gear and struts. The rigging is # 26 ga. wire.

The Curtiss XF6C-6 Page Racer reference was "The Air Racer" by Charles A. Mendenhall. I removed the wing roots for the lower wing, and built the fuselage, adding exhaust stubs, spinner and prop. The skin type radiators on the wing were fashioned from Plastistruct corrigated sheeting. I made the strutting and landing gear to fit. Markings are for Capt. Arthur Page's Thompson Trophy Racer.
