Hasegawa 1/32 Bf 109Es
By Gino Dykstra
I was asked by a customer to make a copy of this model, and in my usual fashion couldn't resist making a few for my own collection. This has always been a good policy of mine, as the same customer ended up buying two more. One of these is an unidentified desert scheme, as seen in Libya at the beginning of the fighting there. Another is typical of the early Battle of Britain era 109's with the very simple, very clean camouflage scheme with the light blue riding all the way up the sides of the fuselage. Another is a yellow-nosed bird from the Italian theater. The last one is a later 109 in a typical muted pattern of dark oversprays on the fuselage. Let's face it -- I love the look of this thing. Now, I've only got about seven more planned to finish!
