AMS Resin | F-100D Ejection Seat for 1/32 Trumpeter F-100D AMS-32001

Reviewed by Randy Bumgardner

Harold Offield of AMS Resin has created a gem of a seat. For those who are familiar with the Trumpeter F-100D, it's a very nice kit that builds into a very nice model. The cockpit provided in the kit is a bit sparse - and we have some aftermarket companies to the rescue. Harold's seat is a drop in replacement for the seat in the Avionix (formerly Black Box) cockpit set. The seat in the Avionix set includes the parapack on the seat bottom and there has been some debate on this subject. Huns on alert status did have the parapack ready to go, while F-100's under maintenence or just standing down may not have had them. I've seen photos both ways, and I'm not choosing sides. Harold's ejection seat is also a drop in replacement for the kit seat as well - and it will certainly add much visual interest to the kit cockpit.

Cast in grey resin, the seat is highly detailed with little or no flash. The pour block is not overly done, so should be a problem to remove. The harnesses and other detail are cast in place and are gorgeous in their detail. The arm rests and pull handles are molded on, so there are no fiddly bits to worry about. Once painted, this little gem will certainly sparkle.

Highly Recommended.
