Eduard 1/32 Bf 109E-7

By Luc Janssen

This is a model I built last year representing a belly landed Bf 109E-7. The idea was to show the fighter crashed in the desert after being hit in the port radiator by ground fire.

For the cockpit I used the excellent parts of the kit together with the instrument panel from Aires. I added the necessary switches, knobs, handles and wiring.

The engine was completed with the supports of the engine, some plumbing and wiring, the ignition cables, the hoisting points, etc.

I changed the pose of two figures from the set “German Tank Crew – Africa Corps” from MiniArt. François Laloux painted these figures superbly, representing two Luftwaffe mechanics.

An elaborated article detailing the construction, painting and weathering of this model was recently published in MENG AIR MODELLER magazine no 61.
