The Build

Part One

Here are some photos of my "In Progress" build of a 1/15th scale Bell H-13D M.A.S.H. Korean War medical evacuation helicopter. All brass construction, laminated wood rotor blades as per original, thermo formed PET bubble. The transmission is geared so that when main rotor is turned the tail rotor will turn with it.

Part Three

The cabin sheet metal is .010" brass sheet annealed and formed to required shapes. Also included are engine component close-ups. Again all brass parts soldered together. The fan belts are .030" x 1.112" o-rings ordered from Parker. Here are some pictures of "in progress" intake and exhaust manifolds. Getting all the holes in the cylinders to line up when forming the tubes was a challenge.
