1/32 Focke Wulf 190D-9 x 3

By Angelo Picardo

I just love the late war Focke Wulf 190-Ds. So much so, I’ve built three of them, so far.

Black 6

This is the Revell issue of the Hasegawa kit with the broad chord tail fin. The flaps were replaced using the Eduard set which is excellent and the cockpit was from the MDC set. I used the Vallejo Model Color range of paints to finish it.

Yellow 15

Is the Hasegawa issue of the kit with the narrow chord tail fin. Eduard flaps were used again. The decals were from Eagle Cal and the paints used were Xtra Colour. The cockpit was the Eagle Editions one which I preferred over the MDC one.

Red 4

This is the Revell kit again, but straight out of the box this time. The paint was from Vallejo.

All three were finished in a matt varnish. Black 6 and Yellow 15 were varnished with Vallejo’s matt varnish. Red 4 was painted with Humbrol’s Matt Cote and has a slight sheen to it.
