Revell 1/32 Spitfire Mk I

By Brad Gray

Just one month shy of seventy six years after Flt. Officer Brian Cadbury shot down five enemy aircraft in three sorties in one day I present to you this Revell Spitfire Mk I representing his machine.

This is my first attempt at 1:32 scale for many years and I found it very enjoyable. I was building it OOB but ended up adding a couple of small items being the aerial wire and the U/C position indicators both being fashioned from stretched spruce. The wheels are also after market.

Decals are from Southern Expo, Hornchurch V Luftwaffe Battle of Britain 70th Anniversary Part 1 and a very kind fellow member named Tim who helped me out with the kit decals that were missing from my purchase. Paint is Aqueous Hobby Colour washed with acrylic artist’s paints.

There's a build thread for this model in the LSP forums.
